In July of 2017 my very close friend Holly had a small bowel obstruction, caused by carcinoid tumors.
Holly had a resection of the small bowel at OHSU by Neuroendocrine Specialist, Surgeon, Dr. Pommier in Portland, Oregon. Holly also had tumors removed from her and was back to her active lifestyle soon after the surgery and ever since.
In November of 2017 our dear friend Lee had the same surgery as Holly for carcinoids that caused small bowel obstruction. Dr. Pommier performed Lee's bowel resection as well and he is very active to this day at age 88.
Dr. Pommier Saying:
"Keep Your Eye On The Ball. The Liver Is The Ball!"
"I only need to remove 70% of the tumors on the liver in order to significantly extend a carcinoid patients life."
